. Roasting

The secret to fine specialty coffee begins in the rich earth and climate of the world’s premier coffee-growing regions. In Africa, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Hawaii, India, Mexico, Papa New Guinea, Peru, and Sumatra.

Ripe coffee cherries are hand-selected and de-pulped. The oval-shaped beans inside the fruit are then processed using one of two methods – dry or washed. The final stage of the harvest involves a rigorous sorting process that identifies only the most elite beans for shipment.

At Espresso Gallery, we import a wide range of beans, create unique blends, and roast them using a state-of-the-art process that combines both drum- and air-roasting. Each blend is determined by the color of the roasted beans, and a high-tech laser determines the evolving color of the beans 100 times a minute during the roasting cycle. The result is a perfect roast – every time.

Before our blends are served, they are taste-tested for flavor, and a profile (from mild to medium to bold) is assigned.

Only then are the blends offered to our retail, wholesale and catered customers. We also create one-of-a-kind specialty roasts for discerning businesses.

Our guarantee is that every roasted Espresso Gallery blend is fresh; every batch sold has been processed within the week. Our promise is that if you’ve never had freshly roasted coffee, you’ll discover the exquisite difference.
